Reba flashback
After yesterday, I'm a revived Reba McEntire fan. I used to be a ridiculously die-hard fan in the 90's. Very shortly after my wife and I were married we went to a Reba concert (this was in 92). I jumped up at one point and was quickly jerked back down by my new wife...lesson learned. As the years went by and we "matured" we began listening to other music but we still tried to catch Reba if she was on a tv special or movie, and watched her sitcom on occasion. Well, I came across the CMT Giants Tribute to Reba yesterday and spent 30 minutes at work watching all the videos and remembering why I liked her so much in the 90's. She is still a powerhouse of a performer after all these years. I showed my wife the website last night and we sat there watching video after video. You may not like country music but you have to admit that this country girl from Oklahoma has definitely done all the right stuff on the stage, screen, Broadway, television, etc. to prove herself more than the usual "flash in the pan", "one hit wonders" you see today. Yes, she's twangy, yes, she's corny, but to quote a line from one of her songs "she ain't done bad".
