Bro-in-law
My brother-in-law left on Tuesday after staying with us for a couple of weeks on his yearly Christmas trek to LA (Louisiana, that is). I always get the feeling he thinks he might be imposing when it's actually just the opposite. I truly enjoy him staying with us no matter the length of the stay. He has a quick humor that can have me laughing hysterically with only a couple of words and our son is just wild about his "Uncle Bobby". But most of all, he's an inspiration because he is one of the most mature men his age that I know, and he has followed his dream in his choice of a career. He's currently an assistant writer for a popular television show (which shall remain nameless) but really hates to talk about himself and have people ooh and ahh over what he does. A lot of people in his situation would take advantage of the attention. He has worked his way through the "just a paycheck" jobs to where he is now and I can't wait to see that big "break" that I know is around the corner for him. I always enjoy finding time for just sitting and discussing movies, television, faith, and of course, the silly stuff with him. I guess the best way to sum it up is to say he's the kind of brother-in-law whose title really doesn't need the "in-law" suffix. Come back anytime, Bobby. You're always welcome.
